What we check

The things that decide inbox or junk

Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook now bounce or junk email from domains that skip these basics. We check every one from a single email.

SPF
Is this server allowed to send for you?We check your approved-sender list and catch the 10-lookup limit that silently breaks it.
DKIM
Is the email signed by your domain? We check the signature is valid and signed as you, not as your email provider.
DMARC
Do SPF and DKIM match your From address? This is the check Gmail and Yahoo require. We show your policy and whether you'd pass it.
Alignment
Does every part of the email agree on who you are? This is the most common hidden failure when a newsletter or CRM tool sends for you.
PTR / rDNS
Does the sending server have a real name?Servers with no reverse DNS look like spam bots to Outlook and Gmail.
TLS
Was the email encrypted on the way?Unencrypted delivery is a red flag and is now marked in Gmail.
MX
Can your domain receive replies?A domain with no inbox is a classic spam sign.
MTA-STS & TLS-RPT
Do you insist on encryption?Optional extras that show receiving servers your domain is well looked after.
BIMI
Will your logo show in the inbox? We check whether your brand logo is set up and what's missing.
Score
Your overall score out of 100One number to track. Send again after each fix and watch it climb.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers

Do you read my emails?

No. We read the headers, which are the technical envelope details, and check your domain's public DNS records. We never store the body of your email, and we delete the email itself once it's been analysed.

I'm not technical. Will I understand the report?

Yes, that's the whole point. Every result says what it means for you and gives the exact fix, such as the line to paste into your DNS. If someone else manages your domain, send them the report link.

Why is my email going to junk when it worked last year?

In 2024 Google and Yahoo started requiring SPF, DKIM and DMARC from anyone sending a lot of email, and Microsoft followed in 2025. Since November 2025 Gmail goes further and bounces email that fails outright. If you skipped these basics, or added a new sending tool without updating your DNS, your email may be landing in junk or never arriving at all.

What should I send to my test address?

Send whatever you'd normally send: a real newsletter, an invoice from your accounting software, or a reply from Outlook. Test each system that sends email for you, because each one can fail in a different way.

Do you check my email design or wording?

No. Design previews, heatmaps and campaign testing are for marketing teams, and tools like Unspam and Litmus do them well. We focus on the setup that decides whether your invoices, quotes and replies get delivered at all, and we tell you exactly how to fix it.

Does a good score guarantee the inbox?

No tool can promise that. Mailbox providers also look at your sending history and how people engage with your email. Most junk-folder problems come from the setup issues we check, and those are the ones you can fix today.

Why is there only one free test?

Your free test is a full report that shows exactly what's wrong and how to fix it. Fixing usually takes a few rounds: change your DNS, test again, and repeat. Basic and Pro pay for those follow-up tests. You get one free test for each domain every 90 days.

Can I cancel Pro?

Yes. Turn off renewal at any time and Pro keeps working until the end of the year you've paid for. Basic is a one-off purchase with no renewal.
